1. Is there a minimum order quantity?

No, SAMI does not impose a minimum order quantity on its customers. The only exception to this is a minimum of 5 licences must be ordered under Microsoft EES.

2. Is my School/College organisation eligible for discounted Microsoft licenses?

If you are in a Government-recognised educational establishment, in the independent or state sector, then you can buy Educational Licences for discounted Microsoft software for your establishment under any of the licensing schemes.


In addition, the following establishments are able to purchase discounted software using Educational Licence schemes:
  • Local Education Authorities
  • Public libraries
  • Public museums
  • Some charitable organisations

3. Is my School/College organisation eligible for discounted Adobe licenses?

Yes, if your organisation is a "Qualified Educational Establishment".

Qualified Educational Establishment Examples:
1. Accredited public or private primary, secondary or higher education school providing full-time instruction. This includes nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, grammar schools, schools for the handicapped, teacher training colleges, technical colleges, further education colleges, research institutes, adult education centres and State run or State subsidised facilities for the re-training of the unemployed.
2. Administrative Offices or Boards of Education of Educational Establishments (for their own use).
3. Home schools approved in writing by Adobe in its sole discretion.
4. Government schools located in the Territory.
5. Named educational entities approved by Adobe, only if individual named entities are approved by Adobe in writing if not already listed by Adobe on its website.
  • Hospitals that are wholly owned and operated by an Educational Establishment. Wholly owned and operated means the Educational Establishment is sole owner of the hospital and only entity exercising control over day to day operations.
  • Education research laboratories that are a public establishment and recognised as such, teach students as part of their research mission, can provide copy of Bylaws that state the relationship with controlling university.
  • Educational Consortia and Systems: Corporations and associations validly organised and existing under the laws of the Territory, with each member or shareholder of which is an accredited school.
6. Other qualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website.

Non-Qualified examples:
1. Non-accredited schools

3. Hospitals not wholly owned and operated by an Educational Establishment

5. Religious organisations that are not accredited schools

Yes, if your organisation is a "Qualified Educational Establishment".

Qualified Educational Establishment Examples:
1. Any accredited public or private primary, secondary or higher education school providing fulltime education. This includes nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, grammar schools, schools for special needs, teacher training colleges, technical colleges, further education colleges, research institutes, adult education centres and subsidised facilities for the re-training of the unemployed. 2. Administrative Offices or Boards of Education of Educational Establishments (for their own use).
3. Home schools and tutoring schemes approved in writing by Nuance in its sole discretion.
4. International School Communities
5. Government funded / owned schools located in the Territory.
6. Named educational entities approved by Nuance only if individual named entities are approved by Nuance in writing if not already listed by Nuance on its website.
  • Hospitals that are wholly owned and operated by an Educational Establishment. Wholly owned and operated means the Educational Establishment is sole owner of the hospital and only entity exercising control over day to day operations.

5. Is my School/College organisation eligible for discounted Symantec licenses?

The following organisations are classified as Education and are eligible to purchase under the Symantec Education program:

QUALIFIED EDUCATIONAL USERS:

A - Educational Institution
A public or private school, college, university or scientific or technical institution, which is in whole or in part publicly funded or which is recognized by the Department of Education.

Recommended Program:

B - Administrative Offices of an Educational Institution
The local, regional or national administrative offices of one or more educational establishments described in A above.

Licenses of the Software to be used for purposes other than participating in Licensee's curriculum or for use on equipment other than Licensee's equipment on Licensee's premises must be purchased separately.

6. Why is the quotation I received different from the website pricing?

Most of the vendors we deal with provide their largest discounts for students and we pass those discounts on to our student customers. The software and pricing on our Software4Students site is only available to students and teachers for installation on their home computers. However we also provide software to schools, colleges, charities and universities under the appropriate licensing programs.

7. Why does my MOLP agreement show an end date?

The end date shown is the date up to which you can re-order on the same 2 year agreement. The date relates to the date after which a new agreement must be set up in order to purchase additional licenses or avail of software assurance. The licences you have bought do not expire and will not need to be renewed at any time.

8. Do I have to purchase a media kit (installation disk) to go with my Microsoft Licensing?

Charities purchasing under MOLP - NO, media kits are optional.
Schools, Colleges purchasing under EES - NO, media kits are optional. All products are available for download.
Schools, Colleges purchasing under Select - YES, unless you already have a volume licensing media kit.

9. Do I have to purchase a media kit (installation disk) to go with my Adobe Licensing?

NO, media kits are optional. All products are available for download.

10. I work for an IT Company, can I purchase the Microsoft software on your Stoftware4Students site and sell or make it available to my student customers

No, the Microsoft software on our Software4Students site is not available for resale. We cannot invoice a commercial organisation for these academic licenses.

11. I'm a reseller / IT Support Company working with charities, can I purchase your Microsoft software for resale to charities?

Yes, we can invoice you or your customer for the software. In all cases we will need the end user details in order to process the licences.

12. I'm a reseller / IT Support Company working with schools and colleges, can I purchase your Microsoft software for resale to schools and colleges?

Yes and no. Under Select licensing we must invoice the end users directly. We cannot invoice a commercial organisation for these academic licences. Under EES we can invoice you or your customer for the software. In all cases we will need the end user details in order to process the licences.
