The main thing I noticed with CS5 is that multitasking on a
laptop with only 2GB of RAM could create problems.

run CS5. It's a pain otherwise to have to close down all
your browser windows and other applications you have running
every time you want to edit a file or graphic or create a new
one.
It should also be noted that some of the programs in the Adobe
CS5 suite will not run on a 32-bit operating system so make sure
you read the system requirements before buying.
Researching a product online is a lot easier now so student
software buyers should do their homework before splashing the
cash.
